Welcome to Our Saviour Lutheran Church

Our Saviour Lutheran Church exists thanks to the inspiring love of Jesus Christ.  Our mission is to give that love to each other, and beyond to all whose lives we can touch. This is not a do-gooders exercise by Sunday Christians sharing leftovers of time and money. It is a joyful and urgent new life which is sold out for Jesus Christ, who paid his life for us. We live every day for his honour. We trust every day in his provision. We celebrate every day as his gift. And we pray every day with those who suffer, no matter what the cause.

Chinese Church Proposal

Chinese Church Proposal for OSLC

A worship and outreach ministry among Chinese students and families is in the process of being planted at Redeemer College. We have been praying and supporting since November.  We have now been asked by the Lutheran Church of Queensland to consider incorporating this as a "church planting" mission of Our Saviour Lutheran Church.

The report attached to this news item summarises the proposal presented to Governance Council on 13 January. Please read, pray and discuss this plan, so that we are ready at our AGM on February 28 to give a well considered and unified response to the District's request.

Watching for Jesus
29th November 2009

Pastor Matt's message lets us know we need to be prepared, watching for Jesus.

Quote: "Disturb us, Lord, when we are too well pleased with ourselves; when our dreams have come true because we have dreamed too little; when we arrived safely because we sailed too close to the shore.

Disturb us, Lord, when with the abundance of things we possess we have lost our thirst for the waters of life; having fallen in love with life, we have ceased to dream of eternity, and in our efforts to build a new earth, we have allowed our vision of the new heaven to dim."
